I like this a lot. Emily's pain and suppressed anger (and long-term regret) seems quite realistic and so does her reaction. I also like the way that Reid and the rest of the team are reacting to Emily, allowing her space but yet obviously concerned. A nice bit of character perspective.

ETA: Obviously I shouldn't type when I'm still not quite awake. I LIKE this a lot is what I meant to say. Not I live this a lot. I've actually never lived anything like this, so it's not even a Freudian slip. *sigh*

There's something so beautiful when Prentiss does allow herself to feel on the show, like it just proves she's an imperfect as the rest of the human race. I think you captured that perfect balance of her attempt to stay cut off but her inner turmoil. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Prentiss is such an interesting character to me- she's really a prime example of shutting down/pushing away anything she's not emotionally ready to cope with, but she always gets the job down.

That was so emotional that I could feel Emily's anger and even started to take it on as my own, even while my brain is telling me that a) it's just a story and b) her anger at Reid is completely unfair to him. I just didn't care how unfair to read being pissed at him might be, I just found myself in her emotions. You're so great with these characters!

I'm glad you got pissed on Emily's behalf! And yeah, while Reid may have done nothing wrong, Emily's so far into this that she really can't see straight (and knows it).
