Carless
Since yesterday morning, I have been without a car. I drove it down to the middle of nowhere to be shipped back to Michigan. I then took 2 buses that took 1.5 hrs to get back home, which would have only taken a 30 minute drive by car. It is quite a strange thing to be living in the suburbs without personal transportation. Yesterday I walked 8 miles to the various places I wanted to go, and everyone driving by looked at me like I was crazy for walking in the heat. But seriously, it would have been much worse in Michigan. There probably wouldn't have been sidewalks, and then of course, there would have been the humidity which usually doesn't exist here. There was, however, an air stagnation alert that warned people not to go outside, but I didn't feel anything. While walking the 3.7 miles back home, I started talking and singing to myself. I don't really know why, mostly out of boredom. It was fun.
