Just my luck: today was the last day of drop/add. I only realized this as I was going to finally drop that stupid INTD Buddha shitfest of a class. But I can't. Because the registration period closed at 6PM, and I went looking at 10PM. If not for those four hours, where I was engrossed in watching the third season of La Femme Nikita, I would be rid of this class.
Instead I'm stuck. With a paper due on Thursday. The topic of which is contained in a site I can't gain access to because its server is telling me it doesn't exist.
Oh, and in case you thought I was exaggerating about the professor being crazy, cult like figure,
here is an excerpt from his course syllabus.
"Unhappy? Are you suffering too much? Is your life persistently unsatisfactory? Are you hurting in more ways than you care to think about? Are you confused about what to do to live well? Are you inflicted with intense desires (longings, cravings) that, even when temporarily sated, leavae you feeling empty, lonely, and desperate? Does your life seem to be living you instead of vice-versa?"
I couldn't make things like this up. He really should consider leaving his post as a professor and taking up late night paid commericals.
I don't have a problem writing 6 papers over the course of the class. It's a writing class, I expect that. However, I didn't expect that each paper would have to be 1500 words. I can't remember the last time I wrote anything, let alone anything over a thousand words.
I had more to gripe about, but it's late and I'm tired and I still have a lot of reading to do for history. G'night.
