23 on the 23rd!
Had a amazing weekend of Birthday Celebration! My friends threw a party for me Saturday night where I had so much fun it hurt to wake up on Sunday... I always a say a sign of a good party is when there's some parts of it you can't remember in the morning. ;p
Sunday after lunch with my parents my husband (gah, can't believe I use that word!) and I drove up to Connecticut where we had reservations at this great bed & breakfast. It was such a small, touristy town but it was really beautiful and right on the CT/LI sound. It rained all weekend but that just made a B&B stay even more perfect. Sunday night we ate at the Penny Lane Pub and the rain was the perfect score for some fish & chips / shepherd's pie and a pint of local brew.
Today after we checked out we hit the outlet shopping center that was a couple of exits down the interstate. Spent more money than I meant to, but Steven keeps reminding me the point of savings is to get to spend at some point... But I still managed to spend less than all our savings at a kitchenware store but that was by a miracle and Steven reminding me that we'd need our savings when I switch from working to non-working for September.
The cats won't leave us alone now that we're home. You go away for 28 hours and I swear in their heads they've been orphans for years.
