FYI:
- Saying you don't support/read/watch something because your parents told you not to conform makes you as much a conformist as the people you look down on.
- You're not a feminist if you think wearing provocative clothing gives guys the wrong idea, thereby making them want to rape/sexually abuse women. feminists don't give a damn what men thing about their clothing, and any self-respecting woman will not let a man dictate what they wear. the same applies to basically binding your breasts because you think they attract too much attention.
- If you hate Christianity as much as you claim, and really don't believe in God the way you rant for hours and hours, then stop going to fucking church.
- Whether you will admit it out loud or not, you're only going to Mass because the boy you like goes every Sunday. So no, you're not better than the rest of us boy-crazy girls you look down on.
- People die. Get the fuck over it. Go read Charlotte's Web or watch Hotel Rwanda. Ignoring the unpleasant parts of life doesn't make them go away. Your parents did you a real disservice by keeping you from reading/watching sad things. (And yes, everyone is going to go see Hannibal Rising, but no, I had nothing to do with talking them out of going to see Music and Lyrics with you.)
- Your personal rights are not being infringed upon. Yes, there are people out there in the US and under US jurisdiction who are being stripped of basic civil rights, but you are not one of those people. The very fact that you can rant about your personal freedoms being infringed upon in the school newspaper is testament to that. Believe me, when a government infringes on your rights, you'll fucking know it.
- I support the war. If you can't understand why, even after the laundry list of reasons I gave you, then go ask your parents. It's not as if you listen to reason. Because, to get back to point one, you parrot back what your parents say. The "My parents raised me to question/doubt the government" is the same as "My parents taught me to always support the government." Your logic does not compute.
