first post of the year
im going to shorthand the vacation post. christmas was fun, even though christmas eve i was promted to compose a song. here' are some lyrics: "Have a holly jolly christmas. we're the grumpiest, loneliest bunch." this is because my brother and i (and the family) got into a little fight. and i didnt get to see him until after new years. but anyway, christmas eve was just my family and i, sitting around drinking, watching tv and talking. christmas day we had our traditional neighborly breakfast with the khaleels, who are incidentally not really our neighbors anymore. ha.
that night, my moms friend came over, she left, then sergio came over, and he left.
two days later, chris and i drove to mississippi to see caren and the gang. i feel bad about shorthanding this part because it really was an amazing time. it was so nice to be out of cell phone range, out of the city, with nothing but cool country air in front of you. not to mention the people were all super funny and nice. we lit fires, blew things up on new years, drank, watched movies, played poker (which i finally learned, yay.) a-ma-zing. totally worth the 13 hours drive there and back, with an overnight stay in tallahassee.
in other updates, i got my lsat scores back. and it looks like they're not good enough to get into anywhere decent. so now im faced with the dilemma, do i waste another couple hundred to take it again? if i do, i have to decided asap, bc the more time i spend thinking about it, the less time i have to study. -_- i just dont know if its worth it. the only reason i signed up was because i needed an avenue to success. looks like i may have to go another route. which is doubly depressing, because that means that chris is going up to tallahassee for college, leaving me as the only child left in my parents house.
and now that we're up to date, i can tell you all about what happened yesterday. although i am a little short on time. so just as a teaser, my boss and i got into a little spat, and he kicked me out of a meeting. haha. which somehow led to..... a big fat check coming at the end of the month.
more on that later. must get back to this shit.
(oh, and also, i finished six feet under last night. and it was absolutely amazing. and brilliant. and beautiful. i cried like i havent cried in mooonttthhhsss. and i want to watch it all over again.)
2008 is shaping up to be um... dramatic. and not really in the pleasant exciting way. wah.
