la la la.. 2nd tri of sophomore year beginnings

1st hour, Driver's Ed Finally, I will get to drive and learn.. driving stuff. We have 1 main teacher and then a coach that a group gets to drive with every certain day. For instance, I have Coach Fry on Fridays. So I spend all of 1st hour driving on Fridays (though today he wasn't there.. SO I HAVE TO WAIT 2 MORE WEEKS TO START DRIVING. LAMEASSES.)

2nd hour, AP U.S. Government We're learning the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, all the political parties back in the day.. lots of discussion. Usually between Tyler Van Arsdale and a couple other guys in there. It's a regular senior class so there are seniors on one side of the classroom, then sophomores on the other. So it's easy to tell who's mature and knows what they're talking about and who isn't. Me, I'm at the edge of the sophomore side and say nothing. I have particular opinions about certain issues, but I'm more interested in simply learning and absorbing as much as I can from Mrs. Hawkins. She's nice, funny (in a cute way), and explains to us what a lot of the Constitution is saying and the structure of the government and so on. Politics interests me, but at the same time I don't think I know enough to form much stronger opinions on the way the government is working now. They talk a lot about voter apathy in there.. and well, that's why I'm in the class. I'm interested but have never really known any facts, so I could never participate in discussions. I'm more acquainted with history than with any system of government. And I also don't feel strongly about a lot of topics, but very intensely about a few in particular. I'm sure once I'm more in the know about gov't things I'll have stronger opinions about broader topics..

3rd hour, Pre-AP English 10 Mrs. Tatum! Heard so much about the teacher (psychotic! crazy! insane! all over the place! brutal!) and she is the complete contrary of everything I've heard. She's calm, she explains in detail, she is helpful. One of the nicest teachers at the high school I could say. I enjoy the class. It's smaller, quieter, easier to discuss in front of such few people.. and whatever else. And there's not such an onslaught of essays like Ms. Easley. Tatum gives us things to draw, poetry, terms, vocabulary building sentences.. I like this a lot more.

4th hour, French 2A First week.. we spent translating a book that basically uses the words from French 1. Good review stuff :D.. I do pretty well in there. It's much smaller and homier, and that's what I like about these classes. More intimate and the teacher can help you with more. I have some good friends in there, so. It's fun.

5th hour, Ceramics 1 PINCH POTS MOTHER FUCKERS! We'll do a lot more than that obviously, but.. The teacher is awesome. She is an art teacher that is actually not overly criticizing and WORKS with you instead of ignoring you. (cough Whirley cough Adams) She says I remind her a lot of Janis Joplin. ...I randomly start dancing to the oldies station she has on in there. I just do random stuff in there. Art sort of ignites my.. randometer.

end.

Some Bollywood that I just.. love. :)
