My kickball friend Dave and I exchange mix CDs every once in a while, and I've owed him one since December. We usually have some kind of theme or special structure to our tracks to keep things interesting. I just finished one up, titled Spring Forward, with a haiku format -- the first, seventh, fifteenth and 21st songs are by Little Joy, which is the sunniest kind of music, leaving each of their tracks bracketed by 5, 7, and 5 other songs by different groups.

I want to attach a spring-themed haiku, or a couple, to the CD. Any ideas?

Here is the playlist:

Little Joy - Brand New Start
Cut Copy - Feel the Love
The Virgins - Rich Girls
Okkervill River - Lost Coastlines
The National - Karen
Vampire Weekend - A-Punk
Little Joy - How to Hang a Wharhol
Ben Taylor - Wicked Way
Lisa Hannigan - I Don't Know
Charlie Mars - Listen to the Darkside
She & Him - I Thought I Saw Your Face Today
Matt Nathanson - Come On Get Higher
Maria Mena - You're the Only One
Melanie Safka - Brand New Key
Little Joy - Keep Me in Mind
Ra Ra Riot - Can You Tell
Gomez - See the World
Army Navy - My Thin Sides
