Our school play this year is A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Shakespeare.
I'll be dead before I'm able to say "How low am I, thou painted maypole? Speak; but that my nails can reach unto thine eyes" with a straight face. I don't even know what that means.
I don't think picking a Shakespeare play for deprived Catholic high schoolers was such a good idea. I mean, we have to wear uniforms and we get expelled if our shirts are untucked. So you pick a play with old english that doesn't make any sense to the average teenager, miss drama teacher? LET'S SEE HOW WELL THIS WORKS OUT.
I WANT TO AUDITION FOR PUCK, PLEASE AND THANK YOU. HELENA AND HERMIA = BIG NO NO.
Title has nothing to do with this entry. =D
