Last night could well have been the best night of my life.
Yesterday at the crack of dawn, me and the fam drove to Vegas, and chilled there for a bit. At night, my sisters, cousins and I went to a Maroon 5 concert at the Aladdin hotel, and it was just about the awesomest thing everrr.
The opening band, Big City Rock, was damn good, even though the singer sounded like he had asthma. We got the autographs of the guitarist and keyboard player after the show. But the most awesome part was seeing Maroon 5 perform.
I haven't really been to many concerts, but I saw how much they had enthusiasm and it made me feel like it was the best performance ever. The drummer had broken his arms a few months back and was still recovering, so they had another dude there. Between songs, the vocalist, Adam, would introduce the other members of the group and crack some jokes too. Once he said "I was playing the slots last night, and I thought I wouldn't get lucky in vegas. I won fifteen-FUCKIN-thousand dollars."
Our seats weren't very close, but on the way out, some lady just randomly picked us out of the hundreds of people standing there and said "hey you want my ticket, it's really close" and she gave it to us. Her ticket was in row E. The fifth row!!! We put 2 of our other tickets under that one, and my sister, my cousin, and I got past the little ticket people who don't let you go to the areas if you don't have tickets cuz they're bitches like that. The lady that checked the tickets only looked at the top one, saw that there were 3 tickets, and assumed that they were all the same. OMFG we were SO CLOSE it was crazy. For the last two songs, the other drummer left, the vocalist played the drums, the keyboardist played another guitar, and the actual drummer came out and sang. They played "Seven Nation Army" and "Highway to Hell" with the most -ness you could ever imagine!! So awesome man.
