So, if you all didn't know already, March 11th, Matthew, Megan, Tom, Keith and I all went up to Portland to see Alexisonfire. Gah!. We drove 2 hours in the snow, got stuck on a hill just b/c the guys had to stop and go pee but it was all so fucking worth it. There has never been a night in my life, this good. and there's a chance nothing will ever top it.
We got there, perfect timing and a band was already playing. Kudos for Riley I think their name was. They were really good, but we only got to hear 2 of their songs. After that, we moved up front, I SAW KRISTEN! and talked with her for a few, and then another band was up. I didn't catch their name, even though there was a girl behind me with the screechiest most annoying voice ever, screaming it constantly. Yeah. Emmanuel showed up late, and just take a guess why. The effing snow. They didn't get to play a full set, but what they did play, was awesome. And then, Alexisonfire was in sight. :-)
FYI* If y'all didn't know, Alexisonfire is the most amazing band ever, my all time favorite. They rarely tour in the US, let alone this neck of the woods. I wouldn't miss it for the world. 10$ was definitely underpaying. But I'm not going to complain because I will never forget this night for the rest of my life.
This is Chris. The bassist for Alexisonfire. You better WATCH OUT! (how appropriate) though, because he is so crazy with his bass. Tom got whacked in the face with the head of it, and I think that mEg and I came close about 100 times lol.
Dallas. Lead guitarist and a really nice guy. Later you'll find out why I love him so much. =)
George. Vocalist. Talented. Spit some very nasty lougies (spelling??)) lol and um, a snot rocket or two. He's my new favorite person in the entire world.
Jesse. Very talented drummer. Craziest drums I have ever seen. Transluscent green drums. Amazinnngggg..
Wade. haha he's a big guy and can be quite scary, but really, he's just like a big teddy bear lol
:sigh: Me, Megan, Matt, Tom, Keith. All lined up the very front row. 2 feet away. They were in arms reach. They played amazing. All the songs were perfect. I think they are the best band live that I've seen yet.
As soon as they started playing. Everyone began singing, moshing, pushing.
It couldn't get any better.
Oh...but it did.
My only hope for that entire night was that they play *Happiness by the Kilowatt* and they ended up playing it. As soon as they started the intro, I was overwhelmed with happiness. Holy cow. This is perfect. I thought I'd end up going home, wishing they did, or wishing I had a better time. Yeah right. The night couldn't get any better. Or so I thought.
@ the beginning of the song, Dallas asks everyone to get a partner. Meg and I were standing side by side, but we didn't dance..I think we were just too overwhelmed with the fact that Alexisonfire, was closer then ever. A dream come true. I'm standing there, singing and rocking w/the crowd, when all of a sudden George is towering over me. Gah!. Amazing. He looks down at me, and grabs my hand. WHAT?! Yeah right, I never get this lucky. Ah, well bands always touch their fans, it's no biggie I guess. But, do bands bring all their fands up on stage? Didn't think so. He takes my hand and pulls me up on stage. I begin stumbling over my own two feet, not even knowing whats going on. THIS must be a dream. Someone smack or pinch me, anything. Well, apparently it wasn't a dream. We get on stage and he looks at me. Takes my hands, and wraps them around his neck. "Slow dance with me" he says. Yeah he's definitely given a whole new meaning to the term slowdance. lol. IM like holy shit. yeah right. I look over @ the crowd. GAHHHHH!!!! I have the biggest smile on my face, and my jaw mustve been dropped all the way to the floor. He grabs my arm, looks me in the eye and starts singing while staring to me. It's like he's serenading me. and it couldn't get any better.
There's no way this is happening. I began getting dizzy, just because I was still so overwhelmed. I look over @ megan and im like, WOAH! ahhh and my eyes get wide. I looked at George and I was like, yeah I totally need to catch my breath. So he rested his head on mine, and began singing in my ear. WHAT?! yea, singing in my ear. amazing. sooo sweet. adorable. gah.
Pff. I bet none of you beleive me. Well, to tell you the truth, I couldn't believe it myself. Ive never ever been the lucky girl on stage, the lucky one to get a hug, a smile or anything. Well, this time, I was.
After I got off stage. Matt glanced at me. And I had all these people looking at me like, wow. Megan looks at me, like stares at me and goes "Luckyyyyyyyyyy". Pff I think it's more than plain luck.
When I look up, after I get off stage, I see Matt on stage. WHAT?! That's just a really weird coincidence lol. George grabs Matt's face and they seriously look like their about to make out lol and next thing you know, Matt grabs George's ass. lol Kodak moment.
It took me the rest of the night to realize what has happened. No, I take that back, I still can't believe it happened.
Meg, Matt and I were standing around, because Tom and Keith disappeared and the place was beginning to clear out. I look through the window and see Chris, Wade, George and Jesse out back. Where's Dallas? I look over @ the stage and there he is clearing out. :-o ah! So we were on our way over to talk to him, when he starts coming towards us. WHAT?! Yeah, the first and BEST thing ever out of that guys mouth "You guys can go out back if you want".. HUH? No way. Then I guess he noticed the camera, and asked if we wanted a picture. UH DUH!

We began walking around the stage expecting anyone and everyone allowed out back. I guess not b/c it was just us. We spotted everyone and of course, photos were a must.
Jesse was a cool guy. Really nice.
George. My new love ¢¾. He's like, god to me now. Making my wildest dreams come true. Like Pedro lol.
Chris was also nice.<3 He was all freaking out because we were driving all the way home in the storm. What a sweetheart. He also had some nice compliments for Matthew lol.
