True Blood
Thanks to misatojaganshi I've spent the last few days no-lifeing True Blood online. (Har har that sounded like an MMORPG.)
Last night I was finally able to catch up with the latest episode. I was iffy at first because I thought the plot looked too similar to Twilight, except the "dazzling vampire" looks like someone's Dad. I am pleasantly surprised though! The Louisiana setting is a huge part of the show. Sookie isn't completely boneheaded and unlike Bella she has her own personality that makes me appreciate why Bill finds her attractive.
I've gotten used to all the sex scenes, but after watching the latest episode I felt like the sex scenes got kind of ridic. LOL. Like honestly the way Sookie and Bill maul each other happens at such predictable times. Sookie is one horny chick. They go at it ROUGH too, there was one sudden makeout where I know that if I did that with my boyfriend we were probably knock our teeth together on accident and end up killing the moment. >_>; I don't really understand the dynamic with Tara and her love interests either. I thought she would end up with Jason during the first season, but then Eggs came in the picture after Sam so uh... okay? I don't even know who she really likes anymore.
I get that Sookie and Bill are *~MADLY IN LOVE~* but I can't stand his moptop. Haha I understand his charm but his hair has gotten uglier and uglier throughout the episodes. Eric though... he is very pretty. *_* His new style looks great. And shit he is TALL. There was one scene where he was walking next to Bill at an H&M...
Jeeez. o_O;
Poor LaFayette, I hope he gets his confidence back soon. Eric's gang really messed him up but I figured that after he drank Eric's blood he was back in his groove.
I know I'm jumping all over the place with this show haha, I also wanted to mention that I don't really get "vampire politics". The vampires want equal rights, but at the same time all of the vamps I've seen in True Blood are ferocious or unpredictable. How exactly would they fit in society? If they've always been this vicious wouldn't there be a public outcry by now?
I wish I had the chance to show off what I cooked today. My camera is still at my Tita's house so I'm not able to document anything... I made Okonomiyaki today and Cold Soba yesterday for lunch... from scratch! I followed some very detailed recipes from Just Hungry, it was simple once I had all the ingredients.
