Moving Sucks!

Tomorrow Ash and I officially will have our apartment in Columbus, and she and I will be driving down there with 2 carloads of our crap. I have been looking at all of the stuff I have in my room and I have decided that I have way too much stuff. Well, I have way too much stuff for one room. Spread it out over an apartment and it probably won't look like quite as much. But packing sucks, and moving sucks. I will be glad when it is all over and done with. The only good thing is that the cable guys are coming to hook up our stuff tomorrow afternoon, so we'll have cable and internet at the new place the first day! Kick ass! We can watch TV while we put stuff away. I love TV.

My last day at the bookstore was Friday. It was a pretty typical day, just selling books and talking to customers. I made my last special order calls, three stacks of them. That kind of sucked. People are always weird on the phone when you call and tell them their book is in. They always act like they don't know what to say. Just say thank you, and I will say you're welcome and then goodbye. It's not that hard! We don't need to have a conversation! At least we ended up meeting our goal for the day. I'm taking all the credit for that, mainly because it was my last day and I feel like taking all the credit for something good happening. Yeah that's right, people like buying books from me because I rock! :-D

It's kind of funny that my last day was Cinco de Mayo. I didn't plan it that way, I wasn't even thinking about that when I decided what my last day would be. But after I got off work I went out with Cathy and a bunch of her friends. We went to Harry's and drank and made fun of a drunk guy who was trying so hard to dance with some of the girls but they wouldn't pay attention to him. He could barely stand up, let alone dance. I love how it's a Mexican celebration but Americans celebrate it too. It's just another excuse to drink. And do we really need another excuse to drink? No, but we find them anyway.

So I am leaving for Columbus tomorrow, and Cathy is leaving for California. I'm going to miss her a lot. It seems so strange that we just really started hanging out again and now I don't know the next time I'll see her.

I guess I should go back to packing again. Blah.
