They're the spirity sort of beings that seem to be responsible for most of the stranger events here in Adstringendum.

As for what they are themselves? ...I'm not sure any of us know for certain yet.

Spirits operate by their own laws and have their own values. The fact that they don't make sense makes perfect sense!

You have a good point there. Though I suppose they would claim to make sense to themselves.
