[It seems someone dropped the PCD while training, because the only view is of a blue sky complete with fluffy blue clouds--and a giant pillar of ice. After a few seconds, the column shatters into glittering shards, tinkling faintly as they fall to the ground

[He snorts, though it's soft, and nods. Time to get up and move out.]

[Back in Seireitei, it's understandable. He's not as used to it anymore. People don't request a captain in Adstring.

He follows her energy signature, deciding it's easier than asking for coordinates, and lands quietly a few meters away.]

[That's because everyone from Seireitei that's here is either a captain or VC, besides her...

She turns when he lands, lowering her sword, still in its released form, and bows slightly.]

He nods in response to her bow.]

[She's pretty used to it all by now lol.]

[True to form, she then brings her sword up in a defensive posture, ready to begin.]

[He draws Hyourinmaru once she's prepared, holding the blade out in front of him. After mentally counting to three, he promptly takes off for a direct forward charge.]

[This captain likes charging, she's observed that much before. So she's ready to dodge, relying on speed more than anything.]

Some no Mae, Tsukishiro!

[She's hoping to catch maybe an arm or something--if it works at all. She's never fought him, after all, though she knows of his zanpukutou and skills]

[Her hopes are in vain when he doesn't halt his charge, instead stepping into shunpo and increasing his speed in order to escape the circle of ice. He takes another step and returns to sight at Rukia's side, swinging Hyourinmaru right above her knee.]

[She reacts, twisting her blade down to catch it, shoving upwards in parry--though it's weird to be fighting someone shorter than her, for once. Still, swordwork is her weak spot, so she tries to dodge back, to get enough range for a kidou or something.,/i>]

[Swordsmanship, however, is Hitsugaya's specialty, and he pushes to keep a close range. When she forces Hyourinmaru upward and moves back, he continues forward, trying to reach her for a stab to her shoulder before she can complete a kidou spell.]

[He definitely catches her kosode, and maybe a little bit of her shoulder too, but it's a shallow cut and she deflects most of it to the side as she sidesteps. This also means she's likely to end up more to the side than in front of him, and so adjusts accordingly.

Sweeping Sode no Shirayuki out in a wide arc again, she aims for the spot where they're at right there, hoping to time her own leap out of there properly.]

[She's disregarding the close quarters, he realizes, using her abilities despite the disadvantage. Clicking his tongue, he leaps back, but the circle catches his sleeve, freezing his lower left arm. Squeezing tightly, projecting his reiatsu outward, he shatters the ice, leaving his hand free, but it takes a few precious seconds to accomplish.]

[She's also using every second she gains the her advantage, casting off a low-level kidou in his direction before she even lands, just beyond her shattering ice column.]
