I am busy writing a personal statement for teacher training and was about to write:
"Since moving to Edinburgh I have involved myself in many extra curricular activities, both at University and outside of the academic arena..."
Then I realised this would make me sound like A MASSIVE TWAT.
Its like David Brent takes over whenever I have to write a schpiel for job apps or anything.
