Davesprite, being pretty much the same person as Dave, was schooled in the ways of ironic Rooftop Ninjas. This means he's had experience with, and has been exposed to weapons specifically of the blade type since he was practically a baby. Prior to entering the game, he has shown sufficient skill in handling swords and katanas, and seems quite comfortable with them. By his canon point, Davesprite has experienced numerous amounts of battles, including the most important one with the game's ultimate boss that he'd teamed up with Bro to take down.
Basically, Davesprite's been around the block more than your average coolkid and can take care of himself enough to take down whatever he's facing or haul his citrusy orange ass out of there.
What form will your character's NV take?
Davesprite's NV will take the form of Bro's favorite puppet and method of psychological torture, aka Lil' Cal. Lil' Cal will work much like a ventriloquist puppet: with a camera built in his eyes and voice recognition built in his ears, which in turn, would translate his voice posts into his text quirk if he wants. As a note, during the translating process and playbacks of voice posts/recordings, Lil' Cal's mouth will move.
Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities:
Prior to prototyping himself with the crow sprite, Davesprite shared the same time travelling ability and swordsmanship skills as alpha Dave. Being the former Knight of Time, this allowed him to create a number of alternate time loops that influenced future events and also allowed him to travel seamlessly between the past, present, and future. However, after giving his Timetables (the device that facilitated his ability) to Dave, he in turn gave up his ability to time travel.
After becoming a sprite, he gained access to a wealth of knowledge about the game along with the ability to fly. He still retains his physical abilities (he is naturally agile and good with his swords) and he fights using the sword that he carried around in his chest.
Weapons: When he was still human, Davesprite shared Dave's Bladekind Strife Specibus. Upon prototyping, his main weapon is the sword stuck in his chest.

Let's get one thing out of the way here: there is no Davesprite without Dave* - they are pretty much the same person, barring the fact that Davesprite is actually a future version of Dave (about four months ahead) from a doomed timeline. See, from where he was before reversing, John and Jade were dead, which left him alone with Rose to fend for themselves. With half the players gone, their session was basically lost and the only way it could be salvaged would be for Dave to travel back in time to fix wrong choices and make things right. Of course, doing that would also mean killing Future Rose, only hanging onto the comfort that they'd be able to survive in the alpha timeline. Because of this, it's safe to say that Davesprite doesn't hesitate to lay his life down for his friends if it means ensuring their safety. That's the one thing that differentiates Davesprite from Alpha Dave and most of the characters in Homestuck: he's pretty much the one who sacrificed the most and is possibly one of the most selfless characters in canon.

He could no longer rely on Bro or another of his future selves to save him when he fucked up (because in some ways, he did), he had to learn to start being careful and covering his ass every step of the way to make things right. It also made him a lot more serious and almost borderline cynical - while Rose still seems to hold onto hope that Jade might be alive, it seems that he had come to terms with it a while ago, saying that because she couldn't get into the medium before the meteor hit, her death was unavoidable.

Though he may seem blasé about it at first (because let's face it, older or not, he's still Dave underneath it all), it obviously had a negative effect on him; whether it be guilt from not being able to get her in the medium on time, or from not being able to save John from blasting off to challenge the Denizen despite being horribly underleveled. However, his time with Future Rose has gotten him to open up more in terms of being honest with himself and others because when you're one of the only two survivors of a meteoric apocalypse, irony seems pretty pointless. Death doesn't scare him: he had pretty much lost almost everything that was important to him, keeping up his image was the last thing on his to-do list. While his Alpha self may have problems dealing with death, Davesprite understands and values the importance of life and the strength to sacrifice it for the people he cares about. It's clear in his conversation with Future Rose: there's no constant verbal sparring anymore, just the plain honesty and care and worry you get when it's the end of the world and you've got no one but one of your best friends and an annoying as fuck puppet sprite to keep you company.

While it could be said that all he did was just reverse himself back to the past and the doomed timeline ceased to exist, it's so much more than that. Not only did the process technically kill himself, Future Rose and everything else, he ended up prototyping himself with Dave's crow sprite; which turned him into a glowy, feathery ghost thing with a sword through his chest and a shitton of new power and knowledge about the game. As of this point, none of the players had ever attempted to prototype a living being with their kernelsprite (Aradia doesn't really count, seeing as she was dead already), so the potentially dangerous effects were unknown. But he did it all without a second of hesitation, just boom - get there, unload all his loot in front of Dave and then back flip into the sprite. His devotion to his friends is clear at this point and he wastes no time getting on pesterchum immediately afterward to tell Terezi to step off from harassing John, even when the latter doesn't acknowledge him as the "real" Dave (something that actually upsets him a little). Though he may not be the alpha Dave anymore, he doesn't dwell on it and instead focuses on helping Dave and making sure the others survive. It's something he'd spent four months preparing for and he'd be damned if he lets the same mistake happen twice.

He encouraged her to make use of her powers to bring the sword to Dave, something that she had not tried since becoming a sprite and managed to comfort her. Just goes to show that no matter what state he's in, Davesprite always puts the well-being and needs of his friends before himself. It's something that would probably never change no matter what size he is.

As stated earlier, Davesprite is a future version of Dave (about four months ahead) from a doomed timeline. This means, in order for one to fully understand and grasp the character of Davesprite, one would need to understand his origin, i.e.: Dave Strider himself.
Dave on his own is a complex character masquerading as a simple coolkid: his whole psyche revolves around acting and looking cool. Obviously, this is his definition of cool, which makes it all one huge wibbly wobbly ball of irony that is quite possibly the driving force behind most of his motives and actions. Being cool also means not flying off the handle in the face of adversity and as such, getting a rise out of Dave in any situation is not an easy feat (barring the exception of Bro, of course). Things that most people consider to be out of the ordinary? He doesn't even bat an eyelash at. (I mean really come on this kid preserves dead things in jars do I really need to explain it further-) Ironically, his hobby of preserving dead things could be a stab at his "fear" of death; something that he demonstrates whenever he has to get rid of a dead Dave and later, when he finds Bro's body.
Of course, being chill and keeping cool does come with a price - Dave is notorious for keeping people at arm's length. Downplaying feelings means downplaying the display of affections, which ends up resulting in a sort of roundabout way of showing that he cares because he does care (in both human and sprite incarnation), but saving face and keeping up the air of cool around him takes precedence. That isn't to say that Dave isn't influenced by his friends; he actually holds their opinions highly even if he'll never admit it. He's close to John, Jade, and Rose in his own way and deep down, they are ultimately the most important and the only people who could potentially make him lose his cool.
At the heart (haha) of it all, Dave and Davesprite share many of the same traits. However, due to weird time shit, both have grown and matured into the characters they are now. Not only are their bodies different, but their motives behind their actions distinguish them from each other.
Character Plans: I honestly don't really have any plans for Davesprite currently; I was pretty much just enabled by your Dave and Terezi appers and the premise sounds hella interesting, so. Here I am!
Upon being accepted into the game, I really think Davesprite would have a lot of room to grow in this setting. The survival/horror-game vibe would feel familiar and with some of his friends in game, I think he can make himself home here quite nicely.

He's always been an anomaly, back home and here; toeing the line between human and computer animated pixel-packing construct, artificial intelligence - they all boiled down to the same thing. He knows he's different, knows he's not "normal", not like his alpha self anyway, and his whole existence is pretty much one big flapping question mark. But shrink fodder for Lalonde aside, the fact of the matter doesn't change - he's different, things he does will also be different:
The night sky is a fluid blend of #626262 and #080808, blocks of pixels weaving in and out of each other if he looks hard enough (or maybe it's just his imagination, the real world and Sburb will never be the same), bright points of #FFFFFF mixed with #C0C0C0 (or is it more #FCFCFC? It's hard to tell, colors are so much more vibrant here). Buildings stretch high in muted tones of steel and he can smell the metallic, dilapidated tang of rust in the air. He feels vibrant eyes of #FFE303 lift up towards him, the muzzles connected to their face creating small vibrations in the air current; a sense that's been built inherently in him by bird or by computer (it's hard to tell sometimes, where the crow ends and the AI begins).
He dips to the right, cool air fluttering between his feathers as he circles low, sprite tail trailing behind him as he watches the monster watching him: crazed gaze following his every movement, globs of acidic #CECC15 dripping onto the stagnant pavement. A guttural growl pierces the quiet, and instincts translate it to
"You're dinner tonight."
He thinks of Darwin, of the animal kingdom, of motherfucking jaws ripping and blood spilling and flashes of blistering green light, of broken swords and swords impaled in stomachs-

He's always been an anomaly, back home and here; toeing the line between human and computer animated pixel-packing construct, artificial intelligence - they all boiled down to the same thing. He knows he's different, knows he's not "normal", not like his alpha self anyway, and his whole existence is pretty much one big flapping question mark. But shrink fodder for Lalonde aside, the fact of the matter doesn't change - he's different, things he does will also be different:
The night sky is a fluid blend of #626262 and #080808, blocks of pixels weaving in and out of each other if he looks hard enough (or maybe it's just his imagination, the real world and Sburb will never be the same), bright points of #FFFFFF mixed with #C0C0C0 (or is it more #FCFCFC? It's hard to tell, colors are so much more vibrant here). Buildings stretch high in muted tones of steel and he can smell the metallic, dilapidated tang of rust in the air. He feels vibrant eyes of #FFE303 lift up towards him, the muzzles connected to their face creating small vibrations in the air current; a sense that's been built inherently in him by bird or by computer (it's hard to tell sometimes, where the crow ends and the AI begins).
He dips to the right, cool air fluttering between his feathers as he circles low, sprite tail trailing behind him as he watches the monster watching him: crazed gaze following his every movement, globs of acidic #CECC15 dripping onto the stagnant pavement. A guttural growl pierces the quiet, and instincts translate it to
"You're dinner tonight."
He thinks of Darwin, of the animal kingdom, of motherfucking jaws ripping and blood spilling and flashes of blistering green light, of broken swords and swords impaled in stomachs-
He pulls his katana out of his chest and dives.
