thrift store find!!! With photos too!

Seems that Memphis is a good place to find things of value. Here is something I found that is really rare here in the US.

It is liquor bottle from the 1930's  A 1934 French Cuseniers orange liquor bottle, with the booze, untouched inside.  What an add find.

Here is a better looking one I found on ebay after a lot of searching.

my bottle is not as nice as that one and it took a lot of searching to find it seeing the name of company that made it was difficult to locate.

Now you can see the bottle after it was cleaned up a bit.  I found part of the name on the right side of the paper label.

You can barely see some of the letters of the name.  But having some of them is how I found out the rest of the name and searching for Liquor from France.  See, Timduru is not the only cool thing that comes from there.  :)  That left me with the next question.  What is in the bottle as the people who made this also make other liquors also.

I did a lot of clean up on the label carefully soaking it in water, getting the dark paper to show some more letters.  It was pretty black on both sides where dust and grime had gathered over the years but this was revealed.

If you look carefully you can see some of the letters of the word, orange.  This is most likely Triple Sec.  A rare bottle for the US now in days as it is full and untouched.  We will see how long that lasts.  :)
