(no subject)
Here to make my bi-annual, half year... I'm posting XD I always read this thing, but posting on it lately proves I am a lazy soul. Well, that and Facebook is a much better place to keep up with me.
Let's see, what's new in life. Aside from work taking up a lot of time... I mean I feel like all I do is work, but it's paying off, even if I am a social outcast because of it. Once the holiday season is over, I'm taking some more time off for myself. So I know it sucks and I miss doing as much as I used to, but I think I've finally found a balance. YAY! That only took... 4 months?
I have decided that I won't be going to AB next year. In April I will be going to Disney/Universal and I won't have money for a con as well. It's my 25th Birthday present to myself :D
In other news, I just turned 25. I was freaked out for about an hour when I realized, I'm doing rather well for my age. Girlfriend, my own apartment, kick ass roomie, high up in employement (even if my job has me there all the time XD). But I think I need a nutsy job. Sitting behind a desk all day would drive me completely mental. I have plans for next year which include a NYC trip, Florida and a Boston weekend. 25 isn't all that bad. I don't feel any older or more responsible. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next milestone to feel that.
In cosplay news: Triwizard Harry is a GO. I'm gonna kick my ass to get it finished before the trip in April, as well as finish Rob's Sirius costume. Just need to sew the coat and put some buttons on it :)
I also have Hans Solo to make and a costume for AAC to host in. Something from 70's anime. Thoughts?
I have also convinced Sarah to start a Glitz Dress Shop for all those CRAZY ASS PAGEANT MOMS. Some of those dresses go for like 900 bucks on Ebay. That's my rent XD If we even made a 1/4 of that on one of ours it would help in the savings in the long run. TBC on this plan, but I definately want it to happen.
Not much else. Still obsessed with Doctor Who, Iron Man and Harry Potter. Speaking of which:
The Doctor/Marilyn Monroe is my new OTP :)
