(no subject)
I haven't had a chance to post recently because I've been that busy, and my internet access has been that flaky. We've only had a couple days so far on the dissection, because of various other outside factors, but we're making serious progress toward another paper (nearly done with the first draft, and it's fairly hefty) on hippo teeth, growth, replacement, and functional correlates thereof.
And it may just be paranoia, but I may have mono. I'm a little cranky about that, and if it's true, I know exactly where I got it. >:P But since there's no treatment for it, it just has to run its course, and ibuprofen and caffeine are treating the symptoms thus far, I'm just letting it go for the moment.
Today we're off to the zoo, to watch hippos in action, how they graze, how they chew, etc. Work is so rough.
I've got so many things that I've been intending to post about and just haven't had time to deal with. Like the suicidal maniacs on the beltway, and the gathering in Georgia, and the redneck drama, and the Richard Thompson concert, and a hell of a lot of links that I've been stockpiling. Who knows if or when I'll be able to do them any kind of justice.
