No, what we need now is someone to mend the fences "W" ran over with a tank. I think Obama will be anything but weak on foreign policy. He is a very articulate man who will be willing to talk first instead of throw troops at them first. But he will defend this country when its needed. Other countries don't fear us, they are disgusted by us. It is much easier to maintain respect with allies than it is to maintain fear with enemies. I'm tired of our leaders thinking that we need to be the bully on the block. Too many people have died so that "W" and his boys could feel fearsome.
Clearly, it's respect first and fear second, and I'd like to believe that people and governments are motivated by the first, but evidence seems to point to the contrary.
