Ottawa Post #11 - the one with the 'rents
Oh my God they're coming up for the weekend. They'll be here in a couple hours.
They decided in their wisdom, that it would be good to leave Welland between 4 and 5 in the morning. So they could be here early and spend time with me. How considerate of them. How nice of them to think ahead and say "Paolo works nights and so he sleeps in the morning because he gets home late." So yes, please come early early to see me. So I will be cranky all day from lack of sleep. Thank you ever so much. And you will also be cranky from your lack of sleep. Yes yes yes. I see the logic already here.
Whatever. Again, another thing I'll just deal with. I promise I will try not to pick a fight. I'll try.
I came home last night to find three - yes THREE - hang up phone messages and two - yes TWO - missed calls on my cellphone. From who you ask? Why my mother of course!
I'm just very frustrated this morning. I have to get ready and shower now so that when they get here - she's already called twice from the car to say they're already passed Kingston - I don't "keep them waiting."
Yes, I wouldn't want to inconvenience them now, would I?
OK I won't rant anymore. I hope everyone else has a better holiday than me and enjoy the long weekend.
