PS: watch where you're going

You know that faint dog-shit smell that seems to be everywhere, that you just can't get away from? Well maybe if you actually looked where you were going, instead of walking with your head in the clouds, eyes ever turned toward the sky for answers, you'd be able to see that dog shit and avoid stepping in it. Besides, if you're always looking up, you'll never see coming that bump in the road, and then who will you blame when you fall flat on your face, looking like a fool? Will you blame the big bright light that blinded you? Having done nothing to prepare you for your fall, having given you no way to prepare for it, will the light at least take some of the blame? Will it comfort you? Heal your broken nose? Offer a hand to help you up? Or will it just shine on, like it always does, highlighting so clearly the scrapes and bruises, making them so clearly viewable to everyone else?

I've said it before and I will say it again- it's no wonder you're blind, always looking to the big, bright light in the sky for answers to earthly problems. Big, bright lights have a way of blinding those who look at them too often, too long, or at the exclusion of anything else. Let it bounce off of a few real things before taking it all in... Let it soak up a little life, a little flavor. Sunrises and sunsets are nothing without the horizon, and the world doesn't cease to exist when the lights go out. Ask any TRULY blind person and they will tell you; your problems will always be there, with or without the light. We, at least, can find our way around in the dark. What will YOU do if the lights go out?
