A good steak
Why is it that when people ask you how you like your steak and you say rare they go oh yuck we like ours well done and dead. Then they proceed to cook yours in a manner that shows absolutely no understanding of how to do it and you are supposed to rave when they put a gray dead looking thing on your plate with not a drop of juice let alone blood inside but just more of the same dead gray color. My brother-in-law did this to me yesterday and was insulted when I said it wasn't how I liked it cooked but of course it was just fine and could you please pass me the ketchup. If you ask someone how they like their steak, know how to cook steak to different degrees of doneness. Otherwise just cook the flaming things and serve them.
