Keep only the things that give you joy.
The tent has a new home, and I am keeping the fly. I realize my physical issues make the tent too much for me to handle.
So the THING that did not give me happiness but instead reminded me of promises broken, a relationship that ended painfully, and only bad feelings surrounding it, has been uncluttered from my life. It will be used as it was meant to be and appreciated by people who will love it.
So I have given it to Magnus and Finnula. They in turn are giving their old tent to Grim and his lady, who are in turn giving their old tent to another couple who are fairly new.
This one act benefits 7-8 people - 3 couples who get to upgrade their camp gear, any donations the couples care to give towards Emily's college fund (or nothing - it isn't a requirement), and myself by giving me back the room it took up.
This makes it a very good weekend indeed.
