Life Update Time
Well it's been a while since I've babbled randomly so I figure its time. The wedding party I was making garb for is almost over, the wedding is a week from Saturday so it's crunch time for that. I have been working on making waist-training corsets and that is a fun project. I am going to be very poor again soon compared to my past lifestyle but it is self-inflicted and I'm ok with this.
I learned last week that I am getting my graduate-assistantship position in the fall. It helps cover my tuition costs and pays a small (and I do mean small) stipend but I will get to teach and have more time for my studies and writing my thesis. I've been enjoying this sudden weight being lifted off my shoulders by actually going out and having a life that people have been speaking of.
I do start my summer term soon but its only one class on Cultural Analysis and we're focusing on Harry Potter so it sounds like a blast. I need to start looking into PHD programs more seriously though since I only have a year till I'm done. Gainesville has a promising program in Nature and Religion which ties into my eco-fem side. I may go up for a tour of the campus and to meet the dean of the department. I am lacking in the Religion background though because they are heavy Judeo-Christian classes and Hindu. We'll just have to see, my options are very limited due to financial costs and living situations.
I suppose that's all for now, anyone wants to know more can pick up the phone or email me and we'll do dinner one evening. I always prefer catching up face to face now that I have this "life" thing again.
