Hello again.
I'm back in Chicago, and Ky is talking about how much this morning sucked ass. We were drinking a bit last night after I got in. Ha. I got in, and there were lights on the fake potted plant, and a "Dear John"-ly packed suitcase. I was like, ohhh...shit, she's leaving?? 'Cause the door was wide open. Very weird. I just couldn't figure it out, so, I didn't try very hard.
And!! I got a ton of mail. You not gettin' mail?? You need to leave your house for 2+ weeks. You get plenty. And not all of it is bad shit. Of course, having a birthday helps. Too funny. Ky even put the letter I sent *her* in with my stuff. I-I---dunno.
So, then I hear voices, and I'm all puzzled, and then its Ky and her collaborator extraordinaire, Mar, from BU. I totally was not sure when she'd been supposed to come up. Yes!! So cool. So, we drink a bit, Mar is something of a bartender extraodinaire as well. There were delicious white grape cosmos. Ky's like, just put some Jager in it. I was like, are you kidding? And she wasn't, so she did, and ew. We drank it. No, not so good.
So, I was in that drunk state where you are plenty fine, you are still drunk, and yet maybe you are still going to talk too much if someone wants to talk to you. There was... *girl talk*. OMG, noway. Yes, yes I tell you. Girl Talk. F. and, get this, it was fun! yea!!! fun!!! fun is good. So, there was talking, and I did such a good job of keeping my thoughts focused on the two of them, I was like, L, don't be stupid, this is their forum. You are gonna be real good and let them talk about themselves. Just ask good questions, pay attention, and you'll have a good time. No dirty laundry, no ugly talk. And it was good.
Just like God said.
Of course, when I was on the phone later... Oh, hmm... not sure how I came across. I was in control of everything I wanted to say, but I, you know, surely said too much. However, the good news of the night? I did better than ever before.
Yea!!
Go me!!
So, after hours and weeks I am home. For another week and a half.
Haha, A called on the way up. He was driving back from Taw's in Cincy at the same time. That was nuts.
