My voice is hoarse from too much CAPS LOCK.

Today was made of SO MUCH WIN that I will have to title parts and maybe abuse the bold function.

1. Last day of work before Christmas break.
Sure, it is only a two day break but I am so excited that it's a big holiday. Work was fine. My customer service skills shone through~ Awesome.

2. Some angel ripped AnCafe's Hibiya on the O New Sekai concert ( Read more... )

How much do VK magazines cost where you live? Do you buy them online or are there Japanese stores? O_O I mean I have about as many Japanese magazines as you do but I know for a fact that I haven't spent anywhere close to $300 on them.

I buy them from different sources. If you buy them new at our local Japanese bookstore, they mark the price like three times more than how much it is in Japan. I bought a few in Taiwan and they are just slightly cheaper than the ones here because of the currency exchange rate. I also buy them from yesasia.com because even when shipped, it is cheaper than buying it in stores. I try to buy mine second hand from fellow LJers (but resale price for these things are still really high). But I remember spending over $50 on a GLB and a Cure together.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. Holy crap. I think you need to move to New York. I've never spent more than $8 on Cure...or any other Japanese magazine, for that matter. I also buy old and used magazines at Book Off for maybe 2 or 3 dollars. The most expensive magazines are Kera Maniax, GL Bible, and special volumes of Cure & Shoxx and they're usually maybe in the $16-$20 range.

I bought a Cure for $8 because it was second hand and because the girl reaaallly wanted to get rid of it! I WAS SUCH A STEAL. That was the cheapest magazine I ever bought. Most magazines I bought for $20 give or take (special volums are closer to $25+), with GLB at just a over $30. A Book Off JUST opened this year downtown and you have to be soooo lucky to find a Cure or SHOXX or Neo Genesis there. The fangirls here guard the place like hawks and I've yet to see one there in the whole store. And I check it out often because I work close to it, too.

Yeah well you don't see a lot of jrock mags in Book Off here, either. You can, however, find tons of CDs for really cheap. Like the time I bought a Janne Da Arc single + DVD for $10. Have you managed to find photobooks or anything good for cheap? The Book Off is here is a tad hard to find, which is why you get away with really great steals. I think New York or LA are the best places to be if you're into Asian fandoms because they are the two places with the greatest Japanese population in the US, so stuff ends up being a lot cheaper to appease the actual Japanese customers. If I find anything good in the Book Off here perhaps I will send it to you, as I am not really a jrock fan. That is if eliminate doesn't steal it first. XD

By the way!

Have you seen the Fahrenheit kissing videoooo? *_*

There a lots of Gackt stuff here. I also found a Dir en grey photobook but it's like really bad pop art rofl. The CDs are definitely cheap! But I find it's usually with the more older/famous bands like X, GLAY, Bump of Chicken etc. which I don't really listen to. the GazettE NILS CD is like over $30 though.

YES I downloaded that video immediately after hearing about it.
