Hilarious for the gamers out there...On a separate note, and not that I would ever condone such actions, but say a fella (or a goil, goil, goil) wanted to, I dunno, acquire some old computer games that he was fairly certain someone could, ya know...rip off the internet, how would he go about that? Just for arguments sake, I'll even include some, ( Read more... )

I have Monkey Island I and II, and if I can make my burner not hate me as it does right now I could make you a copy...

I also have Fate of Atlantis at the house, somewhere, but I don't know if it'll copy. It's rather scratched.

Well, for three discs, I suppose I'll say "all of the above". *grin*

Fate of Atlantis was The Game when I was younger. Good to know someone else has heard of it.

You're on.

Yeah, all of those old text based games filled my wee little life. From Leisure Suit Larry to the King's/Hero's/Space Quest series, but I always had a soft spot for Monkey Island. I guess it's that little part of all of us that deep down demands to be a pirate...

The only downside was those damnable copy-protection things they'd come up with. Monkey II had an annoying (yet neat) spin wheel in order to play originally though a lot of the games just had some "what number is on page 19 of the manual" so even when I found the game years later, I couldn't find the info needed to save my life. *sigh*

Haven't played FoA since, well, it came out, but I played the gosh darn heck out of it. I remember how godlike I felt when I figured out the uber-punch button. Or the frustrations of trying to survey in, where was it, Crete? Ah, good times...
