SO... it was that day again. Haircut day. A day of fear for many a traveler that has been forced to endure "local cool cuts" from eager to please but completely misguided hairdressers, when all that was wanted was a short back and sides.
Never the less, I must confess that once the ordeal of the hair cutting process itself was through, I was actually quite pleased with the result.
Made slightly giddy from the money hemoraging from my wallet in the last few days, I decided to throw caution to the wind and make a final splash out on a hold-all for my judo kit, and for general carrying of stuff. Accordingly, I took an early bus to judo, and managed to find a perfectly none descript bag, in a sort of grey heavy cotton. Fantastically non descript, and not too pricy. Its perfic!
I had been tempted to put an add in the paper saying "Young english guy with own holdall seeks work, prepared to do anything"... but I'm slightly concerned as to where that could lead?
I digress. SO... I went into Welly early, bought the bag, and although I had forgotten the memory card, I had my camera. So as the sun went down, I had a little play. These are by no means the sights of welly, just things I walked past on the way to judo.
Incidently... that burst water pipe is in a main street of Welly, and caused the city to grind to a halt at rush hour... Still... Fun to watch? Though wouldn't like to be the guy in the digger.
Which pretty much takes me upto judo! Judo was great as ever, with a very respected and very senior teacher on the mat. Spoke softly, but everything he said was worth listening to. We worked kusushi mainly, but from grips going into rear sacrifice techniques. I had a great Ukae, and I learnt alot. Also found it ALOT easier this week... though coughing a little now.
ANd after a long day of bus rides, I am now off to bed! Goodnight all!
