Hi Judika,
I just want to tell you that your books have been tremendously helpful in my life. As in any-ones life, I have good days and challenging days. Your research and wisdom has given me support in handling those challenging days.

Thank YOU so much. Exactly as you say, everyone has good days and challenging days but that's also very true with the writing process. Some days-- and some books-- are more challenging than others. Writing 5000 Spells, in particular, was a pretty harrowing process: long story but no one involved in the planning stages of that book, author or publisher, anticipated what we were getting into. It was originally expected to be a significantly smaller book. It quickly surpassed the contracted page limit; when the deadline for turning in the manuscript rolled around, I was nowhere near done-- the first time I'd ever missed a deadline in my life. A large part of that book was written amidst the fear that the whole project would be cancelled and the book would never see the light of the day. It was a tiring, frustrating, challenging experience but comments like yours-- and the wonderful e-mails I've received from readers-- make the whole thing worthwhile. So thank you for taking the trouble to write. I really appreciate it and it means alot

You have the best icon! Did you design it? I'm very happy and honored to meet you. Thank you for dropping by-- and thank you for writing to me here at LiveJournal. I've started working full-time on another book, which means I've pretty much stopped keeping up with the various lists I'm on. LiveJournal or e-mailing me directly are the easiest ways to get in touch with me these days. My method for completing these really large books is to pretty much lock myself away until the work is done. Why is Earth Mother Magic out of print? That's a good question. Basically, in 25 words or less, it's a publisher's prerogative to declare a work out of print and so they did. I was sorry because alot of people write to me after having read 5000 Spells but feeling that they need more background information and instruction on spellcasting. There wasn't room to include that material in 5000 Spells but it's there in Earth Mother MagicThe good news is that it won't be out of print for long. Weiser Books will be publishing a new edition this summer but it
