So it's a little late for stating but I'll go ahead and say it anyway, Happy Thanksgiving. I guess I really should be moving on to saying Happy Holidays up until maybe around the 15th when the full swing of Christmas comes in and then just start handing out the Merry Christmas deal instead.
As for my Thanksgiving it was uneventful. It was the usual deal like it always has been, food, turkey, friends, family, tradition. Nothing all that exciting happened and I certainly didn't partake in any Black Friday shopping.
Now that the holiday where we shove food into our faces is over with and the one where we give gifts while shoving food into our faces will be beginning I'm reminded of my past Christmas where I've had money to buy great gifts for everyone and how the mood felt right. Something in the air smelled right or the way it just felt like a special holiday season. Now, I don't feel that yet. The weather outside is cold and bitter and inside I'm poor and bitter. Not really bitter just upset over the fact that the Christmas I've gotten used to won't be here. My spirit hasn't shown up yet. I need to get out and partake in some of my traditions of visiting the candy store in the downtown area of my local town. The type of place where window shops and sidewalks meet. Where you can walk from store to store and enjoy the lit up decorations and use that scarf you got last year. That I think will set me in the mood, cause it's still pretty true that you don't need money to have a good Christmas. We'll see what happens as the month progresses.
