It's late so
ditto what
trinalin said. I have to add that after Trina turned over the wheel to Elsa after her trek through New York City, we literally aplauded her. You go gurl! We arrived in Chester, Vermont at 2AM in the morning and were greeted by
hergrace and her mother-in-law Sharon. They chatted a bit and promptly put us to bed.
This morning I woke literally hung over with exhaustion. Trina suggested dehydration was my problem. So after gulping a giant cup of strong coffee and lots of water, I felt almost human. The rest of the house awoke, which included Steph's father-in-law Bill, and her two sons, Christian and Alexander. After consulting a map to find out where the heck Garmin the GPS took us and planning our day trip, we walked around the area being touristy and snapping pictures. Vermont is hilly and green and lush. This area is part of historic Stone Village. Then we piled in the car and went to the Vermont Country Store, an interesting place and then to Manchester Vermont, a picturesque village that is actually a discount mall. Steph, dropped the boys and me off at home and then went shopping for dinner with Trina and
elsaf. I was so tired I conked out for an hour just in time for the girls to return and make dinner. We had grilled chicken breasts marinated in soy and brown sugar, a lovely salad and steamed broccolli. All very healthy. However, we stopped that nonsense with good ole Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
Right now Steph is trying to encode a DVD of the DW finale which still haven't seen. The suspense is killing me but sleep might get me first. Anyway, while we wait, I have pictures.
Here, I show you them.
This the lovely farmhouse belonging to the in-laws.
The neighbor's place is a renovated school house. The bell still rings.
Maggie the Lab mix was there to greet us.
This the neighbor's backyard. It was absolutely gorgeous. The picture really doesn't do it justice.
A lovely day lilly.
A peony.
