Utopia
OMG. Wow. Whew... O. M. G. Wooohoooo!
As you might have guessed, I liked it.
A quick first impression: it was awesome. Even after spoiling myself silly, I didn't know the how of when the Master made his return. I'm thrilled because he was my fave villy in Old Who. Rusty gave him the grand welcome he deserved. Sir Derek Jacobi was wonderful. I can't wait for the Master's existence to be explained; the last we saw him, the TARDIS got him and got indigestion. The deal with the watch was brilliant. Anybody who saw Human Nature immediately understood it. Now John Simms gets the delightful job of chewing the scenery. BWAHAHAHA!
Oh, I haven't forgotten Jack. He was back to the ole flirtatious pre-TW Jack and I ate it up. JB is such a cutie. Looking forward to more UST and cute reparte from the Ten/Martha/Jack, the One True Menage a Trois. Heheheh. Ohh, I feel a serious ship coming on.
The story was well paced and kept on the edge of my seat. It gave a nod to all DW fans without leaving out its new audience who may not know the Doctor's backstory. I think it even outdid last week's Blink which is saying a lot.
Now I wonder how in the world Rusty will outdo this in the next two episodes. Can't wait!
