Home for the Holidays: Part 13

Okay, stop laughing. It's over. All signs of Christmas have been eradicated.

I've been in one of my depressive cycles for the last few week. No window of opportunity presented itself until today. After vegging all weekend, I realized I'd run out of dog food. Poor Lance had to eat. So I dragged myself out of bed this morning and took the bus to the north side for his special dog food. I grabbed a 32lb bag and ungraceful hailed a cab back. That should keep him for the next six months.

I've had problems with a rash on my scalp, so my hair has looked less than optimal. Chemicals were a painful thing, but I tried again today. I'm happy to say it was pain free and my mane is now controlled.

During the hair experiment, I attacked the Christmas tree and managed to compactly pack everything back in the one box. Somebody told she knows a woman who decorates her tree for every holiday of the year. That is INSANE. The pine branches on the mantle disintegrated just as I feared but not into a million needles. My handy Dust Buster sucked it all up.

After the tree, I started the laundry, ran the dishwasher, and chased down all the tumbleweeds of Lance. I made the bed with the new sage green sheets Elsaf gave me. (Very nice, Elsa). I will finish the evening with a relaxing soak. Not bad, huh?
