Wow, hello lover.
The Sushi Bar on the Island is the shit and a half. The service was awesome, the drinks come from a bar next door, and the design is unique. If you have been to D'Lounge then you remember the owner. We got some dumplings, and a volcano to start. The Volcano was the most unique "sushi style" app I have ever tried. I'm not sure what is in it, but it was pretty damn good. I don't recommend the Katana Katsu roll, but all the others we tried were off the hook. I didn't order them so I don't remember the names but one had Jalapenos (always necessary) and most had cream cheese. Yumm. I'm going to be headed out there more often.
Pelican Lounge. I don't know if the bar just isn't my type or the fact that there were 2 guys that would NOT stop talking to me. Either way, this was not my favorite place, favorite night, favorite bar to get a great shot. The bar wasn't too packed which is a good thing, so drinks were easily obtained. Serious lack of any kind of hotness in there, girls or guys. Which reminds me, to the girl wearing the gold lame dress... that is fabric reserved for strip clubs only. Not that you weren't one of the hottest girls in there. I'd reserve this place for times Corpus Christi isn't doing it for you anymore. I hear Friday nights there are pretty good, and there are tons of hot Navy guys there. If that's your bag, baby.
