Characterization update
I've been thinking. It might not be totally wise to mess with the way I view the canon because as far as I know there aren't any other Margaret RPers to portray her in the way that's generally accepted, but I've decided that maybe she's not the same person people seem to see her as; I mean, maybe she's not a religious fanatic like Claudia.
-The Order left her to Aspyhxia's mercy, something they wouldn't have done if they totally had her back. They tied her the hell up, man.
-When he examines the portrait of Edith Holloway in the town hall, Alex says Margaret and Elle wrote him letters while he was away, and Margaret probably wouldn't have been so close with him if she was really so entirely into her blind devotion for The Order, because she would have done her best to keep it all business. Elle also mentions in the official Konami diaries that Margaret treated Alex like a member of the family
-she didn't restart The Order until completely necessary (when the town became cursed), so it obviously wasn't just for the fun of it.
The way I see it, she restarted The Order out of desperation. True, she went pretty crazy at the end there, but I think there's more to her than that, even though she did end up being evil and her actions can't be justified. I just don't think it was out of Claudia-esque devotion. So I'm going to be portraying her accordingly. If anyone has a problem with that, please feel free to comment on her HMD post ^^
