[He reaches in- and Ratticus dashes out the other side, surprising the Judge so much that he basically just falls over with a cry of 'GREAT SCOTT!!'. The Pokegear goes flying and lands in a snowdrift.]

[The Judge manages to dig his Pokegear out and is wiping snow from it while holding his defeated Rattata in the crook of an arm.] ... well, I suppose it's a risk that comes with the profession. I might have to keep an eye out for bats now, too.

I've met several judges without such a beard that were taken seriously enough, but perhaps the customs where you come from differ from the ones I'm familiar with.
