I was reading my old journal entries, and here's something I wrote one day during the summer of grade 11:
July 9, 2003
Saw the sun rise this morning. Discovered that the morning starts at 5 a.m. in the summer. I was very tired, but just couldn't fall asleep. Wandered around the house, opened the fridge. Was not hungry, but just wanted to see the light flick on. Just wanted to make some noise so my family members would notice me! hehe! It's wierd y'know. When you're actually up walking around like that, you feel tired. But when you're back lying on your bed, you don't feel tired at all. Feels as if your body and your mind are two separate units.
Finally fell asleep at around 6 a.m. Woke up at 1 p.m. Watched 3 movies consecutively. Practised my recital piece on the piano. Practised Claude Debussy's "La fille aux cheveux de lin". Was dosed off. Love it. Paints colours in my mind.
Now that I am done my 2 months vacation in China, History and Harmony exams, and have decided to stay unemployed for the rest of the summer, it does feel as if i'm going through another episode of dreaded highschool summer. Today, I woke up at 12pm, ate, then took a nap from 3-6pm. I feel energized. I need to get my butt out there and play hard before my last off term will be over!
