Smallville:Stiletto

The show is finally back. I was getting really tired of these hiatuses y'all. Lots of rambly thoughts. I'm rusty. Any way let's get this show on the road.

When I first saw the trailer for this episode I was really not looking forward to it. I was like great another silly episode but as much as the concept for me was that great I got sold on the episode and why you ask? Well cause of Clark. Shocker I know lol. But seriously it was because of the ending scenes. I'm not even speaking romantically but just as a friendship it was great to see Lois and Clark and then Lois and the Red Blue Blur scene at the very end. Lois trying to desperately get a story so she just makes one up. Eeek this right there would normally be enough to put me off. Why would Lois do that? But good job show in making me get over it. When Clark found out about Lois' ruse I thought the way he told her that he thought it was wrong was both a wonderful consistency in regards to his character and also a wonderful insight on their relationship. Clark told her but not in an overbearing way he stated but also stated his concern for her which I thought was great. He wasn't guilt tripping her, Lois did that on her own. The reason I've like Lois since the beginning is because she is very much her own person and even when she messes up she owns up to it. She doesn't hide or make things up. She then tries to resolve it. The reason I've loved Lois this season is because we've gotten more of an insight to who she is. Deep down inside she is this person with so much kindness and via her we've gotten more insight into Clark as well.

Such as with the final two Clark and Lois scenes. So Clark gets shot and besides as goodvibe said Clark milking his "injury" Lois brings him coffee and danishes and does some paperwork for him but what I loved is that at the end she takes the danish from him and says "You weren't going to eat that" All is back to normal and Clark's little smile says that. That's what Clark needed for Lois to be Lois and not someone else. The final scene of the episode would have been enough for me. The little references to the films done subtly and not in an overbearing manner and Lois asking the RBB what is that you need and offering herself as a friend really caused me to choke up. Clark being so kind to her reassuring her that she is good enough and that she is a great reporter and then the references to the future when Clark tell her he's sure she'll come up with a better name. Aww. Dudes Clark was on fire tonight.

Which brings me to Chloe. I'm sure it's no surprise but I don't get and I really don't even want to understand what the hell is going on with Chloe's story line this season. Allison Mack rocks her acting scenes there's no doubt but Chloe to me has really lost her way and I don't know if this was intended or a story line that just went haywire. I feel as if Chloe knows she has gotten over her head but I also feel she's not doing a damn thing to make it better. When Lois was at Chloe's apartment I felt like Chloe would finally tell her what's going on and I really wanted her to but what killed me was the Chloe and Clark scene. Clark knows what's wrong and gave her an opening but she refused it again and again. I wonder if it's the Chloe is embarrassed or just so confused she doesn't know what to do.

-Though I don't really know where the hell the Jimmy storyline is going I was actually very happy to see him in action last night. Doing what he does best and realizing what Lois was doing wasn't exactly kosher. Also it would be great if we could more Clark,Lois, and Jimmy scenes like last night's maybe I don't making Jimmy and Clark friends cause you know that would make more sense than being romantic rivals. Ok thanks.

-So Manheim was introduced that's all well and good but I couldn't help but be distracted by the actor. I was all like "Hey it's Jammer" too bad KK is off the show it would have been and Edgemont reunion.

-So who's this new DP editor dude?

Any way as I always I'm withholding judgement until I actually see the next episode. This week was definitely better than I thought it would be. Ok guys see you next week!
