Cinderella
Hey guys,
I'm writing a paper for Children's Lit about the multicultural relevance of "Cinderella" stories. (There are countless stories, from all over the world.)
In the interest of research, I'm asking all of you to post the Cinderella story as you remember it, without looking it up. I'm curious what variations there will be, and how people describe the various aspects. This may or may not make it into the actual paper, but there's a decent chance I'll use it someday... As my professor pointed out at the beginning of the course, and as I've since come to realize, this is the kind of stuff that could easily explode into a book if i'm not careful.
I'm leaving this post public so that more people can respond. Please feel free to direct others to it. The more responses, the better.
I'm screening comments to prevent accidental cheating, but if you're curious to see what people write, let me know and i'll email you the various responses.
