So, last weekend after the fellas left, I was sittin' there with not much to do. I ended up finding things, however.
I went mountain biking on Putt Putt on Sunday after church, and that was a good time. I set my helmet cam up properly and actually got good video, which I made into a movie (which can be seen here:

Following that, I went back to cabin sweet cabin and watched Spiderman 3 (eh). On Monday I got up around 5 to head up to Static Peak, which clocks in at 11,303 feet. It was said to be an easy hike up, good for a rest day, and it was but I was still beat from the Middle Teton and I was hurtin' near the top. I made it though, and ended up taking a nice hour long nap on the summit. The area around Death Canyon is probably, so far, the nicest country I've been in out here. It was awesome in there.
One funny thing that happened; at the start of my hike I found a neat little feather that I thought about keeping but then second guessed it thinking there'd be a bunch of mites or ticks or something on it. So, instead of keeping it, I stuck it in the bark of a nearby tree and continued on my way. About 6 hours later on the way back down, I ran into a family (mother, father, 3 hot daughters) somewhere in Death Canyon and I noticed that the dad had my feather stuck in his hat. I said hi to them all and then asked if he found the feather stuck in a tree. He said he did and I told him I had put it there lol. It was pretty funny.
Another funny thing that happened... I had the song "Should've Said No" by Taylor Swift (yea, gay right?) stuck in my head all day during the hike. As soon as I got back to the car and turned it on, it was on the radio about halfway through. Oddness.
Hmmm on Tuesday I went fishing a few times in the Hoback and actually did pretty well. I caught lots of cutthroat trout (including one really nice one), but threw them all back.
That's about all for now. Peace out.
