Zombie
What has happened
and what have
we done here
which left us
without a clue
or direction
and our minds
totally clear
of thought
or memory
what is it we did
and what is it
we have wrought
upon the innocence
that as far as we know
may not have ever
been here at all
but we ache
in our hearts
and our minds
and from the fall
that now we aren't
even sure we fell
and now wonder
if it's always been hell
and to the sky I ask
why we were given
these incredible brains
when spines would
have been enough
so lay me down to sleep
and hold me and tell me
that there is no reason to weep
despite there being nothing
on TV
