I know it's stupid but...
intel launches their new Core i5 on Tuesday. It's actually a midrange chip below the i7, but preliminary benches and leaks have it damn near running neck and neck with i7. I want one, but it'll cost me around $500 for a new mobo, ddr3, and the chip itself. i could use another radeon 4850 to run in crossfire, but that is overkill on the whole dollars to frames per second scale.
i could just schill out $229 for a Core2Quad Q9550 which would keep me going for another year, with the rest of the hardware I already have.
