(no subject)
So, I had a good night. Bill and I went to Late Nite at the student center. It was "Lucky Late Nite" and there was free chinese food, Elvis, an oxygen bar and casino. I saw Crystal and Matt there, and I got to see the University Singers perform and then later I got to hang with Ian and Stephanie. I love seeign my friends at stuff on campus!
The casino was set up so that you got so much money when you started playing and you could cash in every $10k that you wound up with for a raffle ticket.
I wound up with over 60 tickets (apparently I have a knack for craps)and by the end of the night I had won:
A DVD of Rounders
A picnic set with a beach towel and baseball set
A CD player boombox
2 jump drives
2 gift vouchers for "Tan-u-Very-Much"
and
A Kodak Easy-Share camera and printer bundle
There was this group of girls standing around the prize table that were very vocal in their dissaproval of my winning streak. They heckled me all the way out the door. I almost asked the security people to walk us out to my car, but then the hecklers got a good look at Bill and backed off. One of them had won a set of pots and pans (it was a nice set) and was complaining about how she didn't cook. She thought I should trade her for the camera. People are crazy.
All in all it was a good night. Tomorrow I'm going shopping for a bag and memory stick for my new camera, but for now I'm going to go lay on my new picnic blanket and watch my new DVD.
