1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Bought a mini-van. yeah. I know.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Oh sure! I resolved not to make any new years resolutions and BY GOD I'VE DONE IT!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
yes. I think. was that last year?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, and I'm crossing fingers here. Too many close calls.

5. What countries did you visit?
The Undiscovered Country!

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
A six-pack. the muscle kind.

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
December 14th. Saddam's so fucked.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Going to Burning Man. And getting promoted to hopefully double my last salary. And getting into a house. Yes, I'm bragging.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Did not exercise enough.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing require a hospital.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My car, My burning man ticket.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
I guess my family for being supportive of me at all times in all things.

George Bush. I swear to god that man has small-dick syndrome

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, Burning man trip, rent, bills. Lots and lots of bills.

BURNING MAN! Jesus, this is repetitive, isn't it?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? happier. fuck, just look at my journal. I was a neurotic mess.
ii. Smaller or larger? Larger. sadly. I think I gained about 10 pounds.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer. And soon to be even richer. =D

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Exercise. just like Puppysmuggler! Although she actually DID exercise in 2003. punk.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
travelling to seattle to visit friends and fam.

yes. maybe. I fucking hate that phrase, btw.

None.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Anything on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. Funny shit.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, and I honestly can't think of anyone I hate at all right now. Probably have blocked them out.

26. What was the best book you read?
I didn't read anything enlightening this year. Which is TOTALLY out of character for me. Need to fix that.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Claire De Lune. I totally forgot what a beautiful piece of music it is. Need to learn it now.

28. What did you want and get?
A trip to Burning Man. A cell phone.

29. What did you want and not get?
better health coverage from werk. (my fault anyway)

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I feel like a sheep saying it, but Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 23. And I shared it with my birfday buddy, Abbie. We have the exact same birthday, so she invited me over to her house for a yummy home cooked meal and video games.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Being able to see my son every day of the week.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
Still stuck in the cargo pants. Black leather dress shoes. button-up short and long sleeve dress shirts. Rolled cuffs. Occasional shorts. comfy, yet slick.

34. What kept you sane?
My computer at work and at home. Both allowed me the infinitely amusing internet to battle the drabness of daily life.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Johnny Depp. Again, I'm with you, Puppysmuggler. Can't get enough of that guy.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Weapons of Mass Distraction. Fuckin' GB...

37. Who did you miss?
Rachel, Pete (I never see enough of him), my family, Monica and Faolan, Christian and Evan. Lots of people.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Karen, my current boss. She's a perv. And a drunk! two for the price of one!

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003.
Enjoy what you can while you can. Youth is fleeting and you can't keep it up forever. Don't put off doing something with your life till you're thirty. You won't be able to enjoy it as much.
