Hey so I'm here in Iraq, and it is 9:00pm, 10:00am for you guys, it is very hot here still, but I'm used to it at this point so 90+ doesn't feel that bad at all, it does get hot in the hummers as driver though, you have your IBA on, (it's the body armor hevy plate stuff) and these hummers run hot like about 240 deg. But after a while you don't notice, well maybe not notice, but you live. I don't know what the news has been saying, but mosul is relativly calm, not much action here which is very good. Not much is we haven't had a mortor shell hit the base for a week or taken any small arms on convoys. The guys from Fort Lewis are starting to come in which is cool because I have a couple buddies who I get along with a lot better there, I don't know what the news puts out so if you have any questions just ask. The general feel for the army guys is a lot of them don't like being here, but probably will vote bush because they figure he will put more money into the army and if they have to be here might as well look out for themselves. Well I'm staying safe, working out, doing patrols listening to a lot of music, listening to a lot of David Grey and remember better days. So I have to go now, but I will talk to you guys later.

Peace from Mosul

Martin
