Brilliance and cooking

Apparently if you tell your dentist that you're allergic to Vicodin, they'll prescribe you with Percoset, which is an even stronger pain reliever... This is something to consider since I'm going under the knife, so to speak, to get my wisdom teeth removed in a week. However, something's telling me that the Vicodin will be just fine.

The things you learn at CHID potlucks. It's kind of strange to think that I've only known most of these people for a quarter - it seems like so much longer.

Also, I made more than twice what I needed to actually cook for this said potluck, but the process of cooking was actually sort of cathartic. This is a really strange feeling considering I never cook. It got me thinking about the skills that young women my age in the 50s and earlier were expected to have. If the expectation that women should be expert cooks/housewifes/etc was the same today, I don't think I'd be getting anywhere too fast. Well, I also cleaned up my room today, if that counts for anything. I am also a step closer to actually getting to Poland, having purchased a plane ticket from London to Prague.

So I guess today was productive in that non-productive sort of way.
