2005: A YEAR IN REVIEW
Saw this on a friends blog --- looked like a good way to keep track of my life :)
2005: A YEAR IN REVIEW
1. WHAT DID YOU DO IN 2005 THAT YOU’VE NEVER DONE BEFORE? Went to a pub and drank a few different things (generally speaking, I don't drink at all, but I seemed to hold it well)
2. DID YOU KEEP YOUR NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS, AND WILL YOU MAKE MORE FOR 2006? Don't remember what my resolutions were from last year (really, I don't --- part of my reason for doing this now :) ). What I plan on doing this year:
a.) Begin saving money for a trip to either Italy (for the food) or Australia (just because)
b.) Give more
c.) Exercise more
d.) Go back to school -- to at least finish my BS
e.) Do some voluteer work somewhere in the community
3. DID ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU GIVE BIRTH? Not that I can think of
4. DID ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU DIE? again, not that I can think of
5. WHAT COUNTRIES DID YOU VISIT? ummm --- America? Does that count?
6. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE IN 2006 THAT YOU LACKED IN 2005? A passion that gives me purpose.
7. WHAT DATE FROM 2005 WILL REMAIN ETCHED UPON YOUR MEMORY, AND WHY? The evacuation from Houston pre-Rita. 18 hour drive to Wichita Falls with two cats --- both of which became carsick.
8. WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST FAILURE? That I wasn't able to save more
9. DID YOU SUFFER ILLNESS OR INJURY? No, not really.
10. WHAT WAS THE BEST THING YOU BOUGHT? Most of my paycheck goes toward the bills.
11. WHOSE BEHAVIOR MERITED CELEBRATION? Behavior merits celebration?
12. WHOSE BEHAVIOR MADE YOU APPALLED AND DEPRESSED? My nemesis --- one solution he proposed was using duck tape to fix asupposed electrical problem. And he never stops with the emails!!! The VAST majority of which are completely pointless.
13. WHERE DID MOST OF YOUR MONEY GO? To the bills.
14. WHAT DID YOU GET REALLY EXCITED ABOUT? Going to Wichita Falls to vist my friends --- I managed to spend about 36 or 37 days with them last year.
15. WHAT SONG WILL ALWAYS REMIND YOU OF 2005? I don't have songs that remind me of a specific year.
16. COMPARED TO THIS TIME LAST YEAR, ARE YOU:
HAPPIER OR SADDER? Happier
THINNER OR FATTER? Thinner
RICHER OR POORER? Richer
17. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU’D DONE MORE OF? I wish I had focused more on getting a game of my own off the ground --- basic ground work and study of various languages is about all I got done. And the study never got very in depth.
18. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU’D DONE LESS OF? Complaining about problems at work --- they are there to stay or at least until they quit or their contract isn't renewed.
19. HOW DID YOU SPEND CHRISTMAS? With my friends in Wichita Falls --- actually we were in Mississippi with Starckovich's family --- after driving all night, they still made me go to the Christmas service --- dang it! LOL.
20. DID YOU FALL IN LOVE IN 2005? No.
21. HOW MANY ONE-NIGHT STANDS? None!
22. WHAT WERE YOUR FAVORITE TV PROGRAMS? Don't really watch a whole lot of TV
23. DO YOU HATE ANYONE NOW THAT YOU DIDN’T HATE THIS TIME LAST YEAR? No.
24. WHAT WAS THE BEST BOOK YOU READ? This is hard --- I read a LOT of books. Cryptonomicon or Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson.
25. WHAT WAS YOUR GREATEST MUSICAL DISCOVERY? The Reggeaton (sp?) station in Houston (101.1 KLOL and Fort Worth (call numbers/letters unknown)
26. WHAT DID YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS AND GET? Didn't really want anything
27. WHAT DID YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS AND NOT GET? see last answer
28. WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE FILM OF THIS YEAR? Crash. Hands down. Maybe Kingdom of Heaven
29. WHAT DID YOU DO ON YOUR BIRTHDAY, AND HOW OLD WERE YOU? I turned 24, worked
30. WHAT ONE THING WOULD HAVE MADE YOUR YEAR IMMEASURABLY MORE SATISFYING? A better experience at work
31. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL FASHION CONCEPT IN 2005? Professional. I like dressing up --- throws people off when they see a computer tech dressed up
32. WHAT KEPT YOU SANE? quiet time alone at my house
33. WHICH CELEBRITY DID YOU FANCY THE MOST? Angelina Jolie
34. WHICH POLITICAL EVENT STIRRED YOU THE MOST? LOL --- anyone who knows me knows I hate politics --- the ongoing war in Iraq would probably be the answer to this one.
35. WHO DID YOU MISS? The Forsters --- my ex-roomies :)
36. WHO WAS THE BEST NEW PERSON YOU MET? ummmm. Oh! There is a couple who lives in Wichita Falls --- the Howards.
37. TELL US A VALUABLE LIFE LESSON YOU LEARNED IN 2005: Never be afraid to tell someone how you feel --- even if they don't feel the same way, they will respect you for at least having the courage to speak up.
38. QUOTE A SONG LYRIC THAT SUMS UP YOUR YEAR: "Something about you baby, drives me crazy. Something about this pretty girl, blows my mind." --- Only those who really know me will know who that refers to :)
