Back in Denmark...
So, I've been back in Denmark since Friday morning and have just now started to unpack.
It was weird. Giving my two weeks notice, saying goodbye to people at church and to Reading. Ending a life I'd almost practically just really settled into. But life is life, and what with nursedarry's medical condition there were several different, but related, reasons I ended up going back to Denmark, despite a couple of my coworkers' attempt to offer other places to live. It might have been taking the easy way out, but I'm feeling good about my decision. Of course many tears were shed on my last Sunday at church - saying goodbye is never easy. Not getting to say goodbye and a heartfelt thank you to nursedarry in person sucked MAJOR as well (she was at hospital the day I left for the airport). My coworkers held a nice leaving party for me, though - and gave me very owl-related leaving presents xD Gonna miss them, for sure.
Being back and shamelessly RELAXING is really nice, too, though. Good for the knee that'd started complaining at work, that's for sure. I've already spent a bogging amount of money on various different kinds of lattes and hung out with one of my best friends the entire weekend. Seeing another friend on Thurs and Sunday as well :) Otherwise I've been devouring Suits fic, both discovering new ones and rereading old D/s favourites :) I plan to hopefully start Gospel Choir and dancing/fitness again sometime next week. I also really really really really need to get my laptop sorted before my insurance runs out in May and preferably before I'm headed to the States, (which is still very much the plan, I just need to book some DK <-> London flights as well) because it's getting ENTIRELY too fond of Blue Screen of Death, and is probably horribly dirty on the inside, so sending it to the 'cleaners' seems like a good idea. Hopefully they won't declare it 'unsaveable' *fingers crossed*! I'll just have to settle for my iPod Touch and kidnapping my mum's laptop for the week+ the guy at the store said it'd take. But NOT before I've done major backup session!
In my ever-growing-list-of-fandoms-news the amazing maja_li and arineat have enticed me into stating to watch Psych. DAMN YOU USA AND YOUR GLORIOUS TV SHOWS! Anyway, is about 3 eps short of having finished the first season, then there's just the other 5 to catch up on /o\.
It's WEIRD being back home, though. At least I have more than enough time to plan my trip properly, hopefully :P Now, back to unpacking...
